Monster Zoo: Graphic Novel to be Produced by Sam Raimi
March 12, 2008–Paramount has acquired rights to “Monster Zoo,” a graphic novel by Douglas TenNapel that will be published in the spring by Image.
Buckaroo Entertainment's Sam Raimi and Josh Donen will produce with Ellen Goldsmith Vein, from the Gotham Group. Raimi, who is repping the Universal thriller “Drag Me to Hell,” has committed only to produce.
TenNapel, whose graphic creations include “Earthworm Jim” and “Cat Scratch,” tells the story of a young boy who discovers his local zoo contains critters that are more frightening than the ordinary collection.
