Russell Crowe Joins DiCaprio in Ridley Scott's Body of Lies
June 28, 2007–Russell Crowe will join Leonardo DiCaprio in “Body of Lies,” William Monahan's adaptation of David Ignatius' novel that Ridley Scott will direct for Warner.
Crowe will play Ed Hoffman, the manipulative CIA boss who teams with operative Roger Ferris (DiCaprio) to trap a dangerous Al Qaeda leader by planting a false rumor that the bomber is in cahoots with the Americans.
Crowe has worked with Scott on “Gladiator,” “A Good Year,” “American Gangster,” and the upcoming “Nottingham,” a Universal and Imagine drama.
He will next be seen co-starring with Christian Bale in James Mangold's “3:10 to Yuma.”
